Sparky

Sparky is one of the first horses and founding reasons we began CEOEW.  He was purchased directly from an auction as a last chance. We first saw Sparky tied in a pen alone.  He was underweight, wormy, had a poor coat, and a sad eye. He patiently waited to be run through the sale as a last effort to fetch the seller a few measly dollars.  He had been traded several times and showed signs of hard use and saddle marks. Because of his current and weight and body condition, he was not receiving any bids except by those looking to purchase him as meat.  We acted fast, and unexpectedly purchased and brought him home.

He has proven to be one of the most forgiving and patient horses loving attention from kids and adults and seems to know his place as the old and wise one.  He quickly gained weight and started to shine.  We knew we had found a diamond in the rough.

Sparky is a senior gelding looking for his forever partner. He is in his mid to late 20's but don't let his age deter you, he has lots of spunk and love to give.  He stands about 15-15.1 hands tall. We just cannot say enough good things about this horse and his gentle nature.  He will stand tied for hours, load in and out of a trailer without hesitation, and let anyone crawl on and around him.

He neck reins and transitions easily.  He loves an easy jog or nice lope on the trail, and is still eager to be in the lead.  Sparky is the perfect trail horse for a rider that is ready for a no nonsese horse to take them out on the trails. He requires a confident rider because of his spunk, but he will take care of his rider on and off the ground.

Sparky has nice hard feet and is up to date on vaccinations and dental.  He will require some extra feed and tlc considerations as a senior, but he has recovered quickly from the condition he came to us in and is a fantastic boy.

UPDATE: We are so pleased to announce that Sparky has a new forever home.
