Past Horses
Pepper came into our program as a relinquishment. As a 23 yr old reg Paint trail horse, his really only issue was some arthritis with his old age. He was great to ride, hit the trails, and have littles on him. This boy has now found his forever home.
Star was a foster fail. She came into our rescue through the relinquishment program and other then being a little rusty under saddle, she took to the trails and arena work with no issues. This gorgeous 22 yr old AQHA mare and our junior member Hailey hit it off. They're now hitting the trails and loving it.
Sadie was with us for a short time but forever in our hearts. During her evaluation an old injury came to light. With it a very bad diagnosis and a hard decision. Sadie is no longer in pain and will always be remembered.
April, a 22 yr old APHA mare, came in through relinquishment. She had some bad habits on the ground that were fixed as well as being rusty under saddle. She thrived out on the trails and wanted to lead. She sense has found her forever home where her adoptive dad fell for her immediately. They both love going out on the trails with their friends.
Maggie was the youngest of the Christmas herd. She was just a weanling and needed much attention. She needed a hernia surgery that we took care of as well as weight gain. After a few years of growing up with us here at the rescue we found her adoptive home in Idaho where she will be hitting the trails in time.
Prism was from the "Christmas Herd". We aged her at 3-4 when she came in. She ended up foaling, a gorgeous bay colt that was a big surprise to use one morning. We let her and him be horses for awhile and get her weight back on. After her colt was weaned we sent her to Twin Pines for 5 months where she learned the start of positive reinforcement training. She found her forever home and moved to Colorado. Her adoptive mom has sense started her under saddle and she's doing fantastic!
